The Junior High School Department of Anqing Foreign Language School's east campus held the 15th departmental meeting of the semester in the combined classroom at noon on June 8th, which was chaired by Assistant Principal Li Ping.
First and foremost, Assistant Principal Li introduced the lecture's theme—'Good relationships lead to good education'—through a video. Drawing on Zhan Danian's book 'Good Relationships, Good Education', and considering the current developmental characteristics of middle school students, she guided all teachers in exploring the learning issues analyzed in the book, with particular emphasis on several thought-provoking educational perspectives. What's more, building upon theoretical discussion, Assistant Principal Li further translated these ideas into actionable steps, proposing three key areas for implementation: first, transforming 'dialogue' into warm and meaningful 'conversations,' thereby enhancing the effectiveness and relevance of teacher-student communication; second, genuinely protecting students' dignity by balancing respect and guidance in daily educational management; and third, shifting from managing 'a group' to truly seeing 'each individual,' focusing on every student's unique development and authentic needs, making education warmer and more impactful.
In a nutshell, Assistant Principal Li gave several reminders regarding daily operations based on recent campus developments, emphasizing the importance of paying attention to details in teaching and educational work, and expressing her hope that all teachers would steadily and orderly advance the various tasks at the end of the semester.
